Whitchurch 2nd Vs Cannock (HWO)

Tries from Mat Grindley, Dom Freer-Carmichael, Mark Hewitt and two from stand in Cannock players weren’t enough as Whitchurch put in a spirited performance against Cannock.

Despite turning up with only 10 players, the game was entertaining and played the right way with clear respect between the sides. Whitchurch fielded an eclectic mix of youth and experience, and I want to thank everyone for their commitment.

Whitchurchs young players were outstanding yet again and there are plenty of good signs for the future with Tom Hamer, Dom Freer-Carmichael, Charlie Williams and Sam Morley consistently putting in good performances often in challenging circumstances.
