The 2nd team had another hard fixture against a strong Rugeley side who have only lost once this season and once again came out second best losing 12 : 22. Captain Matt Grindley said that this was the best the team had played this season and were 12:0 up at half time with tries from Dan Hunt and Ben Mason the latter being converted by Matt Grindley. With only 1 sub on the bench, Whitchurch tired in the second half and Rugeley proved that fitness and a full selection of 5 subs counts at this level and scored 4 tries to get the victory. The 2nd. XV are away at Trentham next Saturday kick off 2:15 pm.
